If you’ve searched “web design near me” or “SEO company Montgomery TX,” you’ve probably noticed the same problem we ran into: most of what shows up isn’t actually local. It’s a national company that generates a landing page for every city in the country, purely to rank for that search.
We wanted an honest answer to a simple question: who’s actually doing web design and SEO work within driving distance of Montgomery County? So we put together this list — real, verifiable local businesses within roughly 40 miles, filtered down to companies primarily focused on web design and/or SEO (not full-service marketing or ad agencies with web design as a side offering).
Whether you’re comparing us against the field or just trying to find someone local, here’s what’s actually out there.
How We Put This List Together
We started with the obvious local searches, then filtered out anything that couldn’t show a real, verifiable local presence — a physical address, a named founder, an actual local service history. National programmatic-SEO operations that mass-produce city-specific landing pages were excluded, even when they ranked well for local searches. What’s left is a shorter, more honest list than what a quick Google search turns up.

9. Vine & Branch

SEO isn’t a stated focus. Pricing: Not publicly listed.
10. Discover Web Solutions, LLC
Location: Serves Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, and The Woodlands — likely right at or just past the 40-mile mark What they do: A small local/regional operator active since 2007, offering “all-in-one” website design, hosting, maintenance, digital marketing, and graphic design. Pricing: Not publicly listed.
A Few Things Worth Noting
We couldn’t verify a genuine independent local web design or SEO shop specifically in Splendora, Navasota, or New Waverly — searches for those towns returned almost exclusively national programmatic-SEO sites, which didn’t make this list.
Pricing transparency is rare in this space: only 2 of the 10 companies above have real numbers published on their own site. Most quote after a consultation. If you’re comparing options, that’s worth factoring in — it’s hard to know whether a company fits your budget until you’ve already had a sales conversation.
Where Trulove Webworks Fits In
We’re not on this list because we made it about ourselves — but since you’re here comparing options, it’s a fair question to ask. Our Stress-Free Website package is $4,250, which puts us right in the middle of the range above: not the cheapest option, not the most expensive, priced where a custom, strategy-first build with a clear process tends to land.
If transparent pricing matters to you while you’re comparing local options, we’d rather you know where we stand upfront than find out after a call. Reach out anytime — we’re happy to talk through what you need, whether that ends up being us or someone else on this list.
